美國大學排名資訊

美國對大學及研究所進行排名的機構中,最具權威的就是《U.S. News and World Report》。U.S. News《美國新聞和世界報導》是世界著名的綜合性報導評論週刊。在美國大學排名上周刊參考七項主要指標加權平均計算而得:學術聲譽(22.5%)、學生維持率包含畢業率及畢業生反效率(22.5%)、師資資源(20%)、新生水準(12.5%)、財務資源(10%)、畢業率表現(7.5%)、校友捐贈(5%)等七大範疇,於下再分數個指標。較為重要的而受到台灣前往美國申請的指標有「全國大學排名」(National University Rankings)、「文理學院排名」(Liberal Arts Colleges Rankings)、「研究院排名」(Grad School Rankings)和「最佳高中排名」(Best High Schools)。U.S. News在每年大約8-10月公佈新一年度Best Colleges排名,每年3-4月公佈新一年度Best Graduate Schools排名。

對於想申請美國的同學,排名除了學院綜合排名,另外可能還會想參考你有興趣的科系排名。排名表是一開始選擇學校時的方向,但更深入了解自己要申請學校的課程和研究方向之後才能就自己的背景條件和未來發展選出最適合的學校。津橋顧問建議同學,一定要提早研究學校並且透過專業顧問瞭解申請方向,以便在有限時間下,取得較有優勢的入學成績,往自己的夢幻學校更邁進一步!
